Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters to perform in Dallas

The Broadway legend, alongside the Plano Symphony Orchestra, will hit the stage at the Meyerson Symphony Center.

Broadway legend Bernadette Peters will team up with the Plano Symphony Orchestra for an evening of music, with songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, and more.

Peters, who has won two Tony Awards and been nominated for five more, is known for her roles in such Broadway musicals as Into the Woods (1987), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), Follies (2011) and Hello, Dolly! (2018).

Four of the Broadway cast albums on which she’s appeared have won Grammy Awards. Peters has also released six solo albums.

Peters, 77, has also appeared in numerous TV and film projects, for which she’s won four Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, for her performance in Pennies From Heaven.

The PSO has used Plano ISD’s Robinson Fine Arts Center as its home base since 2024, but it occasionally plays at other venues. “Our goal is to expand our offerings and our performance footprint so more and more audiences throughout North Texas can enjoy all kinds of music from our orchestra,” said Greg Patterson, the PSO’s president and chief executive, in a news release.
