Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Frisco, Grapevine and Dallas rolled back prices to 79 cents for a pork chop at lunch.
This deal was one of the lowest single-priced menu items at a sit-down restaurant we’ve seen this year, timed just right as the U.S. flirts with recession. Perry’s 79-cent pork chops were available at lunch on Friday, May 2, 2025, only. The deal started at 10:30 a.m.
The special extended beyond North Texas to every Perry’s Steakhouse in the country. It operates restaurants in eight states. Most are in Texas, in Perry’s home city of Houston, in addition to in Austin, San Antonio, and the three aforementioned restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The fine print: The deal was available only to the first 100 customers at each location, and patrons must be 21 and up.

Perry’s opened in Texas in 1979, hence the 79-cent price tag.
The pork chop is Perry’s best-known dish, and Friday lunch at Perry’s can be legendary.
The plate comes with an Instagram-worthy pork chop that’s cured, roasted, smoked, caramelized and topped with herb-garlic butter. Whipped potatoes and applesauce come on the side.
Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille is at 2100 Olive St., Dallas; 2440 Parkwood Blvd., Frisco; and 2400 W. State Highway 114, Grapevine. Reservations were not accepted for the 79-cent lunch; customers needed to be in line and in person to get the special.
