Frisco police, fire departments responded to the area of 2400 block Preston Road and SH 121 at around 8:45 p.m.

A child in Frisco was transported to a local hospital Saturday evening after being reported missing, police say.

Frisco Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 2400 block Preston Road and State Highway 121 at around 8:45 p.m. regarding a missing child, according to police spokesperson Joshua Lovell.

The child’s shoes were then found at the bank of a pond, which Lovell said prompted the request for assistance from Lewisville Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The child was subsequently located and sent to the hospital, Lovell said. Their current status is not immediately clear.
