A 40-year-old man is facing a murder charge in connection to the shooting of another man in Far East Dallas, who died from his injuries last weekend.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Fredie Andrade Jr. on Thursday and took him to the Dallas County jail, according to a statement from Dallas police. It was not immediately clear if his bail had been posted.
The shooting happened on May 17 around 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 10800 block of Stallcup Drive, according to police.
Police said Ramiro Alonzo, 36, was shot and taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries on June 7.
No further information about the incident was available. It is not clear what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting or if Andrade and Alonzo knew each other.
