After morning fog, scattered showers are heading to North Texas. See when they’ll hit

Exercise extra caution when commuting this morning, D-FW residents.

The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office issued a dense fog advisory for the area, as well as counties to the north and east. It expired at 10 a.m.

Visibility could be as low as a quarter of a mile, making it essential to leave plenty of space between cars and to drive with only low-beam headlights.

After the fog moves out, the rest of Thursday is expected to be pleasant with partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid-80s.

The chance of storms will return Thursday evening as a system moves south across the North Texas region. The front will largely bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, with a few strong storms possible.

For Dallas County, the system is most likely to affect us between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.
