A few more raindrops may squeeze themselves in before May ends.
Friday proved to have mostly clear skies, a pattern expected to continue for most of Saturday, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. The last day of the month will bring a slight increase in temperatures from Friday, with a high of 86 degrees. Winds are expected to be calm.
Storms are expected to move south Saturday night from the Texas-Oklahoma border, possibly reaching the metro area before Sunday. Rain chances for Dallas-Fort Worth climb to 40% by about 1 a.m. Sunday and remain in that region until Sunday afternoon.
A few of these storm systems may strengthen to bring intense winds. Those risks were not prescribed by the weather service to any specific area of North Texas.
